The workshop “Hydrodynamic Approaches to Active Matter: Successes and Future Challenges” will be held November 9–13, 2026 at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems (MPIPKS) in Dresden, Germany. The event honors John Toner’s 71st birthday and brings together 28 invited speakers to discuss active matter, hydrodynamics, renormalization group approaches, and biological physics.
Accommodation and meals are covered by the institute. Limited travel funding is available.
